We are a club that supports the enjoyment of firearms and friendly competition, as well as training and educational opportunities for basic firearm safety, hunter's safety and so much more! We are a friendly group and we look forward to meeting you. Non-members are always welcome to come to one of our meetings or events to meet everybody and decide if you would like to join us. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, unless that Wednesday falls on a holiday, in which case it will be on the following Wednesday.

Our History
Originally formed as the Shelton Rifle and Pistol
Club in 1947, application for incorporation was submitted to the
Washington Secretary of State's office and was approved. The Mason
county area served by the club was and still is rural with forest
products and the seafood industry as the major employers.
Initially club efforts were focused on providing a
safe firearms range away from the general public yet available for
the use of the community including the US Army, reserve
organizations, sportsmen, and later, local law enforcement. Simpson
Lumber Company provided the initial property where club members
developed, equipped, and, maintained an outdoor range until 2008.
In 1973, through donations and member provided
labor, the club built the present meeting room and indoor range
located at 521 W. Business Park Rd. near Shelton, in Mason County
Washington, on land leased from the Port of Shelton. The club
facilities are maintained through club generated fees, membership
dues, and volunteer support.
Current membership is approximately 280.
In 2008 the organization changed its name to Mason
County Sportsman’s Association. In September 2009 we incorporated as
a 501[c](3) as a public charitable giving organization as determined
by the Internal Revenue Service. This gives the organization an
opportunity to participate in the community and give something back.
Stewardship in the Community
